Creating a Life You Love
Written July 19th, 2026
What If Today Was Enough to Begin?
How many times a week do you say this to yourself?
“I’ll start when ……..”
…..Things calm down.
…..When the house is more organized.
…..When work isn’t so busy.
…..When I have more energy.
…..When I have more time.
The problem is, life has a funny way of filling every bit of space we give it. As soon as one busy season ends, another one seems to take its place. Before we know it, months—or even years—have slipped by while we’ve been waiting for the “right” time to begin.
I’ve started to wonder if maybe there isn’t a perfect time.
Maybe there’s just today.
I used to think creating a life I loved meant making big changes. A detailed plan. A long list of goals that would somehow transform everything overnight. I’d write it all down with every good intention that I was going to start tomorrow.
But that’s never really been my experience. I would either never get to my list or I would start it, make it a day or two and then forget about it.
The things that have changed my life the most have usually started with something so small I almost overlooked it.
Making my bed.
Taking a short walk.
Reading one chapter instead of promising myself I’d finish an entire book.
Lighting a candle before sitting down to write.
Choosing to spend ten quiet minutes with God before the rest of the day found me.
None of those moments felt life-changing on their own.
But they had a way of gently changing the direction of my days.
And over time, they began changing me.
Maybe creating a life you love isn’t about becoming a completely different person.
Maybe it’s about becoming a little more intentional with the life you already have.
One small choice.
One small habit.
One small act of courage.
One small beginning.
You don’t have to have every answer before you take the first step.
You don’t need a perfect plan.
You don’t need permission.
You just need to begin.
So let me ask you the same question I’ve been asking myself lately…
What if today was enough to begin?
Not next Monday.
Not after vacation.
Not when life finally slows down.
Just today.
Let’s discover together how small, ordinary choices can quietly shape an extraordinary life—one simple step at a time.
